Master Tropp

Master Nhumey Tropp
Chief Instructor Master Nhumey Tropp, 6th Dan, began training in martial
arts in 1972. She has been teaching since 1979. Her first TaeKwon Do
instructor was C.K. Choi, 8th Dan, formerly of Vancouver, Canada. She has
trained with a number of excellent teachers. Most influential has been
Instructor Erik Remmen, (HwaRang Do) who retired from teaching in 1995.
Master Tropp's rank is certified by Grandmaster Kwang Sik Myung, 10th Dan,
president and founder of the World HapkiDo Federation and the Korea
Yonmookwan TaeKwonDo Association. She is a graduate of Massad
Ayoob's Lethal Force Institute (LFI 1). Master Tropp is a member of PAWMA
(Pacific Association of Women Martial Artists), NWMAF (National Women's
Martial Arts Federation). In 2001, she led the first Women in Martial Arts delegation
to China and in 2003 was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
Master Tropp holds an MPH (Master of Public Health) from the
University of California, Berkeley and is a graduate of the
University of Washington Physician Assistant Program. She works
as a PA in a local hospital Emergency Department.

Stacie Hiett, 5th Dan
Instructor Stacie Hiett, 5th Dan, started her training in TaeKwon Do in 1980.
Instructor Hiett taught Tuesday classes at the Greenwood dojang from 1992
to 2007.

Aaron Logue, 4th Dan
Instructor Aaron Logue started his training in TaeKwon Do in 1990.
He presently teaches many of the Monday and Wednesday TaeKwon Do classes at the Phinney Center.

Aaron Kahn, 1st Dan
Instructor Aaron Kahn has been training in HwaRang Do since 1995, and achieved
the rank of Black Belt in 2003. Instructor Kahn is teaching the HwaRang Do
classes at the Phinney Center.
