TaeKwon Do (hand and foot art) is a Korean martial art that is known for its footwork and kicking. Our TaeKwon Do classes teach warm up exercises (focus on maintaining health, avoiding injury, strengthening/healing any injured area), hyungs (forms) kicking, and hand techniques, for striking and defense. Beginners learn non contact sparring. (Advanced students have the option of sparring with contact and grappling) Advanced students also learn basic rolling, falling, joint techniques, and weapons. All levels learn practical self-defense. We do not teach Olympic style TaeKwon Do (sport fighting)
HwaRang Do (way of flowering manhood--hard and soft) is a Korean martial art that incorporates hard and soft techniques, kicking, hand techniques, rolling, falling, joint locks, and weapons. It is a comprehensive system known as an external and internal art. HwaRang Do was founded by Grandmaster Joo Bang Lee in the 1960's. Our HwaRang Do classes teach warm up exercises (focus on maintaining health, avoiding injury, strengthening/healing any injured area), hyungs (forms) kicking, and hand techniques, for striking and defense, rolling, falling, joint locks and weapons, breathing and centering techniques. All levels learn practical self-defense.
